On my way through working through my large backlog of games, I've made it to Borderlands, and I must
say I'm enjoying it quite a bit. I know it got mixed reviews on some sites, but I'm having fun playing it.
Just the right mix of fps and rpg elements, with the emphasis being on the shooting. You get xp points for killing
stuff. I'm not a huge fan of cel shaded games, but this one actually looks very nice. Large, open vistas, short loading times. Runs smooth,
with no problems on Windows 7. Large selection of weapons, although the interface is kind of cluttered and confusing. I find the enemies acutally quite challenging, skags can take you out in three hits. Story doesn't seem to be all that great. No quicksave, it has auto saves and basically the same vita chamber system that Bioshock had.
But the robot claptrap is annoying.
Overall, it's in the bargain range, so, if you haven't played it yet, I'd definitely recommend it.
