The only thing that sucks with Borderlands is the disappointing story and the mediocre quests, but otherwise its a great game, especially if you play with friends. I recommend it. Gotta love the GUNS!!!
Didn't really like it. Kind of boring and repetitive if you ask me. Quit after a few hours.
It's a love it or hate it kind of game.
The FOV is seriously messed up in Borderlands. It's like running around with binoculars attached to your head at all times and it gets old rather quickly. Luckily some intelligent gamers has found a way to make a hotkey that will change the FOV for a much more comfortable experience but you'll have to use it everytime you exit a vehicle. I have heard of a permanent fix by using a 3rd party tool but I haven't tried it yet. Google it =)BDK-Soft
And before someone asks, FOV=Field of View.
Be aware of a problem some people are having (me included) with the game crashing 5 to 20 minutes into playing. Don't get me wrong I love Borderlands, but the issue has been talked about in any forum that is Borderland based and the dev's are having a hard time figuring out what the issue is. It seems to have cropped up after the release of one of the DLC's. So if you do get it, I would recommend just getting the main game to start with.
Not everyone is having this issue so it may not affect you. Just wanted to give you a heads up on it though.
I love it ^^
It reminds me of Diablo 2 in a whole lot of ways, both the good and the bad.
-The main story of the base game, is so so, but to be honest, most fps have a really REALLY bad story, this game is more or less like the majority of games, except the ending aperrently pissed off some people.
-The missions are pretty run of the mill, and often straight farward.
- was buggy at launch
+ The game has a great artstyle, I enjoyied exploring and looking around
+ Lotsa guns
+ Really fun with friends in co-op
+ Has a great piece of dlc (the armory one)
+ Has a really great sense of humor and irony.
+ Handles well on most pcs, not that demanding.
I like it alot, I tweaked the fov and turned off mouse smoothing and loved it. its pretty easy to google it and make those two small tweaks.
The ending is...well it doesnt end. It continues in the last dlc and i think it wil lcontinue on the new one. So yeah it worths getting the dlcs if you want the full game.
Apart from that its a nice rpg with worthy dlcs. Well its kinda like hellgate london though, singleplayer is not very interesting, just quests here and there. To me its an awesome game.
As for glitches? There is a weird issue with dynamic shadows that cause stutter and frameskiping depending on the drivers and videocard you use.
2 flaws of the game for me are the graphics and the leveling system. Quests give you way too much exp so end up with a bunch of quests in your list that are too low for you. But it is a fun game and much more so with friends. I have like 180hrs playtime on this so didn't waste my cash.
I've found the single-player to be very dull. Just incredibly repetitive.
Might be worth a try if you have people to co-op with, I imagine that would be more fun.

It's the Borderlands Config Editor, and I highly recommend it if you have this game.
The game is pretty good. What it lacks in story it makes up for in co-op play and loot. Having friends to play with will make it a lot more enjoyable.
If you had to get one DLC, get General Knoxx. Aside from increasing the level cap to 61, it has a slew of great loot to get, including the ever-elusive Pearlescent guns and shields.
You can pick 4 diffrent characters in the game, and with 87BIGGILLION diffrent guns, that gives a good impression of the game.
But if you don't have 24/7 full speed internet it won't be as enjoyable.
I must be one of the few people that absolutely loved Borderland's single player campaign.
Sure it can get a little repetitive here and there, but the overall game is awesome.
In my opinion, it's one of the best games to come out in the last 10 years, and I can't wait for Borderlands 2!
