Yeah...I think Borderlands is pretty clearly meant for multiplayer. I don't think they put a whole lot into making it that fun for the singleplayer experience.
That. I don't understand why people whine about the singleplayer when Gearbox has done nothing to market this game as being a singleplayer experience. Why don't we all whine about L4D's singleplayer while we're at it?

And? What about the brothers in arms series? What does that have to do with anything? So if Gearbox makes a good singleplayer game, then they are not allowed to make a multiplayer-focused title? How about Half-life for Valve? Does that preclude them from making L4D? And what is wrong with the art style influencing the feel of the game? Did you consider that maybe Gearbox realized their game was shaping up to be average, so they decided to add some zip through a new art direction and some attitude injected via dialog and music choices? Perhaps they realized that their game would be more fun in a multiplayer environment, which is why that is the gameplay element that has been emphasized in the past few months. Would you prefer that every game be exactly as it looked at E3? Your logic is ridiculous.
Absolutely everywhere I read, they say the single player is rather dull and meh. This game appears to be like L4D in that it's truly meant to be played coop and nothing else.

Well its not exactly like that. Its a sci-fi western meets Diablo 2. We really haven't heard anything other than that for like the last 9 months.
