bored and need a new game =(

Played and loved RPGs like System Shock 2, Deus Ex, Dungeons and Dragons Online: Stormreach, NWN, KoTOR / KoTOR2, Mass Effect. Also have an xbox 360 and ps2 loved the original ps title Star Ocean: the second story and its active combat style.

Any other games out there with that sort of combat and engaging story for the consoles would be awesome or any pc title similar to those RPGs. Hopefully something is out there I haven't tried that will keep me busy until fall.

I'd recommend (if you have it) go into your old old games and kinda rediscover gaming...I've been working on KotOR/2 and my Mechwarrior games (like I'm not going to like that :lol: )...it's kinda nice to feel the rush the older games are so good at giving.

For you personally I would agree with Bioshock, but on a note get it now on STEAM it's not worth more then 20$ as if you play it once you probly won't want to play it again for oh 5 years.

um K well you don't seem to have many RTS and you want storyline...I'd recomend both CoH and Homeworld.

You could use Witcher for a RPG

Only CSS for a fps fix :P you need BF my friend *adds dash of TF2* and if you've got enough Paitence CoD4 (I dont' so I kinda struggle threw it...so many claynades :? )

I found it very and very and very interesting, it's smth... unusual...

anyway: try GRAW 2, some say it sucks, i don't agree with them, i find it to be very entertaining and it saved my life, when i was going to die of boredom.

Alright well... I have my FPS fix and that is CSS. Me personally, I prefer it over all those other shooters (even CoD4).

I am looking for a game similar to those I posted on my original post.

I didn't care for the Witcher. Pretty much the most linear RPG I ever played but good story. Made by foreign developers as was S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Don't get me started on that game. GRAW1/2 are basically a whole nother genre of game. And to be honest, I don't care for that sort of tactical FPS.

ToEE is of course a classic and it was great back then but I'm looking for something now. Vampire the Masquerad: Redemption / Bloodlines were alright back then but I don't want to replay them.

So far my only real choice might very well be to replay Planescape: Torment. Haven't played it in ages and it is of course a classic.

Played every game? Oh I hope not! I can never get into RTS genre. Not deep enough story and very little customization. Only one I even had the slightest interest was WC3. The heroes and item system caught my attention enough so that it was worth it.

No but u get attached to your squads and really care when the Rank 3 Vets die :(

CoH has a great Story as does WiC

DoW has a Hero unit if u wanna look that

PS2, pick up RE4 and play that if you havn't. It would keep you busy for maybe a week.

I didnt play it for the multiplayer never tried it.

Well, okay how about Fable? One of the best RPGs I've played. Short, but it was good.

What's RE4??? Is it a JRPG? Does it have the same sort of combat as Star Ocean: The Second Story?

OOOH! Resident Evil 4. Played it and actually didn't care for the shooting controls. So used to CSS as my shooter fix.

I played the original Fable for the Xbox console... Wasn't impressed. Is the pc version worth picking up?

Though I recommend you play morrowind first for it is much better than oblivion.

I think I'm gonna see about getting Rogue galaxy and Radiata Stories for the PS2 and replay Planescape: Torment. Hope that can keep me occupied until this fall for Warhammer Online and Fable 2.felenor

I'll throw out a couple of suggestions:

Silent Storm Gold - TBS squad-based strategy...stories not exactly deep but engaging enough for WWII/Cold War setting. The game is a blast and there are some rpg aspect to it. If your looking for something different this is a must play game in the Jagged Alliance/UFO tradition. Basically, this is my favorite game of all time.

Second Sight - You can get this on Console or PC. Probably leans toward the action adventure/3rd person shooter ilk but some rpg aspects and what I thought was an engaging story. Somewhat unknown game but I think it's very good and should still hold up well today. For someone who's played everything, this may be worth a try. Best game I've played that uses psionic powers in varous ways for combat and getting out of difficult situations.

As for the PC version of Fable, the game is extended. I enjoyed playing although it could have been better I agree.

I know, I don't really care. I don't play games that much, mainly gta and nfs. Don't know why, maybe because those were my first games.

Perhaps Lost Odyssey if you're going for console RPGs (LO is one of my favs this gen)? Dark Cloud series is fun. Lot of custimization there with weapon synthesis. Have you tried any Shadow Hearts? Shin Megami Tense? Just my 2 cents for suggestions (you seemed to have played a lot, so I'm sure you played some of these already :P )

if you get the unofficial patches it is great game.

if nothing else just to see Pisha and VV :D
