Bored need a MMO with lots of detail.

I'm bored as hell and I am looking for a mmo that has a lot of content. Preferably free or a trial. I would like it to have many races and classes or a good skill system that lets me define my class. Many weapons and armor. And many quests. I'm hoping for a more of a swords and mages type of game but others like space and modern guns and stuff would be alright.

I DO NOT WANT TO BE TOLD WOW!!! I cannot play wow its horrible.

LotR: Online? I hear it just went free to play (however you have to pay to get access to the good stuff... I think).

Also, is there any reason for the WoW hate? what makes it so "horrible"?

Guildwars? I suppose some people don't class it as an "mmo", but its still a really really good game.

Or you could wait for Guildwars 2 which looks absolutely amazing.

Warhammer Online is also good, yeah.

Asheron's Call has a massive amount of detail and questing. You can customize what skills you have. The only thing that might hold you back are the old graphics.

definately not a WoW clone, it is an excellent game, even in its free state. Only real drawback is you can only make two characters iirc.

Ign just put a page up on their site "what mmos should i play?" and there is about 50 or so on the list with little reason why and some have videos

I'm not rejecting everyones. I'm downloading LOTR: online right now and I will then try warhammer and guildwars.

LOTRO is good only if you're fan of the series/movies - if not it'll be another generic MMO, I'm currently waiting for 2 MMOs which are Guild Wars 2 and Star Wars Old Republic which both gonna be great hopefully

i looked at a video of guild wars 2 yesterday and it looked sick. I about star wars thought. i never been a fan of it but thats not the point. if a game is good it shall be played plus its being made by bioware who usually puts out good games.

Perpetuum just came out and it is a quality game with an expansive skill system and a lot to do. Think of it as EVE Online with Mechs.

Guild wars sounds like it will be your cup of tea. scotty992

You JUST described WoW. Its a perfect blend of everything all in one. I cant reccommend LOTRO because its a LESSER WoW. Ultima Online has gone to poo, Aion is garbage, guild wars isnt a proper MMO, EQ2 stinks and the list goes on.

Maybe wait for Star wars: TOR??
