You're really talking about only playing older games there and by older I mean 2005ish. To get a decent framerate with real detail in modern games you are talking about needing a top half ATi 4000 series card like a 4650 or 4850. They aren't really that expensive, unless you are comparing them to the one you posted.

Well, uh no. I had a 6200le in my server which has similar to performance to that chip. I once tried to test it out, with 2 monitors, 1x1920x1080 and 1x1680x1050 all went well... I tried playing quake 3, guess how many fps? about 20. It sucks major, even if your desktop res is 1280x1024 you won't play any modern games about 4 year old games will be playable. Get this instead if you want to play any game at a decent frame rate, http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814161259 If you want something a bit cheaper http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814140099 If you don't want to play games at all then that graphics card is ok, but it won't help too much decoding bluray movies or such, your processor will be the big factor.

Well it is no way brilliant, but it might play I think a few games on very low or low graphics.

The 9500gt is not a gaming graphics card, it is a VERY VERY good for movie decoding and a vibrant picture. the Hd3650 plays games low/medium at a low resolution. They both are not ideal for gaming.

The fx5200 is 04/05 budget card, it can't play any modern game at all, it's perfect for desktop stuff though. AGP will not work in PCI E, it won't fit.

None of these is a gaming vga. Ith 9500gt and 3650you will be able to play most games at medium sttings. If you can find ati4670( is about the same price as the 3650 you posted and is much faster and you should be able able to play most games at high settings )

Also wont do. Either 4670 or if you can find a cheap 9500gt (out of the 2 the 4670 is much better but if you find the 9500gt for 60 is not a bad deal)

All due to the fantastic source engine... I run it decent frames at 1280x800 on an x700mobile... and that thing is getting kinda junky now

http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=4405987&CatId=3670 - $70 X-FX Radeon HD 4650 Video Card- 512MB DDR2, PCI Express 2.0, CrossFireX, (2) Dual-Link DVI

http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=4207200&CatId=3585 - $70 - Galaxy GeForce 9500 GT Video Card - 1024MB DDR2, PCI Express 2.0, (2) Dual Link DVI, HDTV, VGA Support (Close to a 8600GT in performance)

But if you have around $100 you can pick uo a 9800GT which is way better but since you have a prebuilt Pc the psu isnt enough to run it so one of those above should run ok with the pc's psu.

I would say Walmart is prolly the last place on earth you want to buy computer stuff from. I mean really... do you homework, research stuff online, there are many good sources for hardware information online. Then if you arent into building your own rig, atleast buy it from a decent place, not walmart... good grief!

HA. no. Newegg has had 4830's for $70 AR. That is a perfectly legitimate gaming card for a midrange system right now.

Either you do not have a Celeron D(single core), but a Celeron E1500 (dual core). Or you must not use your PC for much modern stuff.

They're selling computers with Celeron D's? Wow not even a Celeron Dual Core :|X360PS3AMD05

Saw this in a flyer last month. http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=9446777 Don't know how he missed it unless they skipped it because of price. With just a video card upgrade you could run all the games that have been mentioned so far. BUT I just ordered a new PC with parts from Newegg that is 10x what his comp is for about the same price, And I got a XFX GTX 260 896MB with it too. AND after the $60 in MIR's it will cost just a lil over $800. Yeah, you can ALWAYS build em better and cheaper yourself. And these days with the right mobo that comes with a good manual JUST about anyone can do it.

My gut told me no from the start but to be honest, I almost jumped on that Wally-Mart system and thought "Well all I'll really need is a GPU..." But that was before checking out the friggin awsome deals online. After 3-4 years of not keeping up with new hardware and prices I had NO idea how affordable things are now. I mean I knew Ram had gone down in price alot but damn lol, 4Gb for $55.00?

Hope that gives you an idea of what you can put together. :D

I would recommend this computer...

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16883227130

It's actually kinda decent. The 9500gt isn't the best card, but for the price, it can't be beat. I have a 9600gt and I can play most games maxed out. Except Crysis. And some new games I have to turn AA down, but I think the 9500gt will be good. Let me know if this works or you need another suggestion.

That card will barely play any games at all. Well maybe some very old games, but if we're talking any new games, then no, not at all. You're going to have to find a better card than that, and expect to pay atleast 100 dolllars for atleast a decent videocard to play all these new games online. I would suggest maybe one of the new ati cards that are now powerfull.

look i know that the internet is like the best place to make a computer but to my dad if you say internet and buy he thinks hackers credit card stolen and newegg will rip you off i tried to show him the value of doing online internet computer parts but that doesn't change his mind that they'll steal his identity lmfao I don't know why he thinks this way
