Bought physical copy of GW but can I buy nightfall on steam?

I have EOTN, prophecies and factions as a CD copy, will I be able to link the NF expansion if I get it off steam? I don't want to buy it from the guild wars online store because I dont want to have to input my phone number.

It is just the key that matters. When you buy it from Steam you will get a product key that you have to enter into your NCSoft account. Meaning you can easily apply it to the account you made w/ your retail copy of the game.carlosjuero

I don't think you can. Unless its different for GW, you have to own the base game on steam to buy any steam xpacs. I couldnt buy Battlefield Bad Co. 2 Vietnam on steam because my copy of BFBC2 wasnt bought on steam.

edit: and all BFBC2:Vietnam needed was a key.
