I am looking for a tv, around the 32" mark. Don't show me a tv that is bigger because as much as I love big tvs, I just simply would be sitting too close to it for that. I'm particularly interested in the 60hz bravia tvs which I will give you a link to (http://www.walmart.com/ip/Sony/13422986). Now the only problem I have with this is that it's 60hz and my friend says that for gaming I should get 120hz no questions asked. However, shouldn't that TV, since I own a PS3 after all which is made by Sony, work well with the PS3? I would rather not have blurring like crazy which is what he said will happen if I get that TV. Can you all recommend a cheap 32"? My local walmart does not carry a 120hz 32" and would prefer to get it there since I can get 10% off and lets face it, who doesn't want to save money? :P

Sorry for the double post but I should also mention that I wouldn't mind going with other brands either as long as the blurring is not horrid.

According to most people, 120hz and 60hz arent very diff for gaming. the refresh rate isnt going to improve your gaming experience. so the whole 120hz doesnt really matter when gaming and sony bravia is an excellent tv for gaming with my experience and others. :)

OK, cool beans. I will of course watch bluray movies though and I am fine with a little bit of motion blurring because I see that as normal. I think honestly there is a point people tend to reach with films to where it is just plainly too real. I want my film to stay a film. :P

I just did some further research and apparently SDTVs are 60hz max and I've used an sdtv to play games all my life, even in this generation. If the motion blurry that a sdtv has is the only thing the 60hz lcds will have then I don't understand the big deal of 120hz tvs.

I own a 32" 60hz Bravia myself, however it's 1080p (it was on sale, so it was cheaper then all of the 720ps at the time so I figured why not :P)

I can honestly say I haven't encountered any undesirable blurring. Of course there's alot of games that have motion blur, but I haven't noticed any extra blur I haven't seen before. In stores I really can't tell the difference between the 120 and 60hz sets, if I do see a difference it's just like 1 second then i'll never see it again. I'm sure watching them in the store won't do their justice though. I say if you want to save a bit of cash then you can't go wrong with the 60hz

I had a Bravia and it looked really good. I mean it was really crisp, and this was on a 52 inch. So imagine how sharp and clean the games will be on a 32 inch?

Yeah. I've had a 46in 1080p Sony Bravia for about 2 years, which is only 60hz, and I don't notice any motion blur at all! We carry the 120hz tvs where I work, and I haven't noticed any difference between the 60hz and 120hz tvs. I have a Samsung 32 in the room, which is only a 720p LCD,and it has a very rich picture also.So I think it just depends on your own brand preference, and also the cost issue. I went with Sony and Samsung because of the reliability. I had a 22in LG monitor a few years back, and it only lasted a year before breaking down. So I tend to stay away from their products.

Its funny that you say that because Sony ended it's partnership with Samsung back in 08, to manufacture their LCD panels, and are going with Sharp currently. I like both, but my next purchase will be a 55in LED, from Sony, or Samsung, whichever has more options, and more reasonably priced!

I actually considered LED, my budget allows me to get one but for a 32" LED it is very expensive so not worth it. I may go ahead and get a 40" though, we shall see. If I get a 40" I will likely have to sit like 6 feet away and not sure if my room will even allow that. Gonna be going in a few days to look at them. I amtaking a tape measure with me so I can judge at how far the picture looks crisp, hope that isn't odd.

It won't improve gaming because games all current console games run at 60fps.
