Anyone else on the fence about getting Brink for PC? The controls look really awkward for Kb/M what with the constant sprinting and radial dial stuff. Not to mention PC online communities have been less than stable in recent years, games come out and then fizzle and die in 2 months.

On the other side of the fence though I've heard that the console versions have aim assist, and that just makes the entire game nearly pointless.... I really don't know what I should do. Get it on PC and hope there's a big enough community for it to last a while, or get it on the 360 and deal with the lame auto aim... Not very great choices :/

Online PC game communities tend to last much longer than console games, PC games tend to sell more over time so there's always people playing, on consoles the games sell for the first week or two then they go back to call pf duty or the next big thing.

Go play BF2. You ran and used radial menus all the time. The difference in Brink will be the SMART system, but it's a simple system and won't cause any problems.

Games fizzle and die because they are either mediocre, not as good as predecessors, don't stand up in their own field, etc.
There are plenty of games with strong online communities.

Everything you said about controls and community is the opposite of what I beleive to be true. PC shooters noramlly have a much longer following, and the controls are normally way better. Plus PC gets dedicated servers and maybe modding tools in the future. I'd say if you have a PC to run the game on medium or above, then it would be stupid to get it for consoles. Of course you also have to consider what platform your friends are playing it on.

Mod edit - If you wish to compare platforms, please post in System Wars, not on the system-specific boards.
