Okay, i understand this isn't directly correlated to computer hardware, but this is the only section i could relate this most closely to. Okay, so i've lived in a rural area for my entire life and after being stuck on dial-up, finally got upgraded to high speed internet. There is no DSL in my area, so i havea broadband. Its actually Zeta Broadband, but i don't know if that will really matter. Anyway, we used to always have a terrible issue with the internet just randomly dropping and it was unbearable. Then, we upgraded our router from an old Lynksys to a Netgear, and it didn't seem to change much. But, i guess it got better over time, but at the same time i started noticing that the internet went out when the phone rang. At last for the devices that connected wirelessly. This led us to believek that the wireless router frequency was the same as our phone, so we tested it with a cheap phone and then upgraded to one with dect 6.0. Now, it works. Although it disconnects every 5 minutes now, and i am just tired. Can anybody help.

Overview

Zeta Broadband provider

Netgear Router

P.S. we don't really think its the router so much because it happened on the Lynksys. And apparently this problem is with many different broadband providers. If you guys could help me out here, i would be very grateful. It happens on every device. Although i don't know so much on hard-wired devices yet though (It kept dropping and making me drop in games or in the midddle of missions and i'd have to restart but gave up in a fit of rage after it did it about 3 times in a row)

My money says the modem the company gave you is pure @#%$. Take it up with them, they're the one's stealing your hard earned buck.

What country are you situated in? Either switch channels, or change from 2.4ghz/5ghz there may be some interference on your line. Also try connecting directly to your router with a lan cable, that will rule out if the problem is your internet or your wireless signal

Change channels. Type in your modems IP address, its usually something like 192.168.0.1 or a variant of that. Change the 'Channel', there may be interference on the line. Also change the frequency from 2.4GHz to 5GHz as phones, etc use 2.4GHz and that can cause interference. Beware though, some older devices can't get a 5GHz signal so you might want to test that. If Its a wireless signal, try checking the signal quality(how many bars). If none of this works, call support.
