I'm helping my little brother build a cheap gaming PC, but I don't know if these are the best parts for the price or if they are compatable. Right now it will cost $545 for the PC w/ vista and a 19" moniter.

AMD Athlon 64 X2 7750 Kuma 2.7GHz (w free game)

HIS Radeon HD 4670 IceQ Turbo 512MB (w free game) :D

GIGABYTE GA-MA770-UD3 + Rosewill Mid Tower Computer Case with 350w PSU combo

G.SKILL 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 1066 (PC2 8500)

LG Black bezel 16X DVD-ROM 52X

Western Digital 320GB Hard Drive + Windows Vista Home 32 bit combo

Acer 19" Widescreen Moniter

Any suggestions or help are appreciated, than you.

they should all work but I'd look into a better power supply a generic 350w will be on the limit to powering any gaming rig, the rest looks good for a budget build. some possible power supplies http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817182160 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817341021 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817182030 the p/s with the case probably doesn't even have pcie connectors so will have issues running new components. Think of the p/s as a long term investment. Better to pay for a reasonable priced one than cheap out only for it to cause problems.

agreed with the above recommendation a 500watt is fairly cheap and will do world of good. if you dont mind scrap your current case and get an atop decorative case with matching keyboard & mouse (comes in cherry red, hot yellow, and black) to make the cost roughly the same.

Definitely get a better PSU. And go for the 4770 instead of the 4670. It has twice as many shader pipelines, and is definitely worth the extra few bucks...

Oh, and the 1080p 21.5" Asus monitors are on sale for $159.99. You may want to think about picking one up while they're one sale... Either way, definitely go for the 4770 and a better PSU. You'll thank me later ;)

That should be enough amps on the 12v rail. But definitely get the 64bit Vista Home Premium/320GB WD caviar combo. It's the same price, and the 64 bit version seems to be getting more support from companies.

Nah. The 64 bit version doesn't require more memory, it just recognizes more if it's installed. And the jump from 2gb to 4gb in Vista only increases performance in Crysis, and it's only by about 6%. The money would be better spent on a 4770...
