Buiding a gaming Computer

i have a sony Vaio which is a 3.0 GHz Pentium 4 Processor with 200gb HDDspace and 12 MB. what do i need to make my computer adecent(not great or unbelieable) a decent running gaming computer....do i need more RAM? Graphics Card? Vista?will this cost me alot of $$$..btw buying a new CPU is not a option

mk.. Cool dude for sdtarters i dn't klnow much about laptops but i figure much the same as comps as gaming goes. So firstly i would upgrade to 2Gb Ram , Second depending on what sort of games you are wanting to play if its new realeses then i would recomend an Nvidia 8 series card that;s either an 8000 GTS - GTS - an 8800 GTS GTX. And lastly be your processor right now im looking into getting a core 2 duo processor the one i want is the E660 but this is for pc so yah hope iv'e helped a little and . P.S mabye vaio is also PC and thats what you have i dnt know lol i just thought that vaio's are laptops. cya P.M me if you need more help its np.jjc273
