Alright so i ahve prviously posted my build twice i was going to with intel but being that i can save a bit more money with amd im decided im gona go the amd route also ive always used amd in my previous builds so i feel more comfortable, now im gona go with the Phenom2 965 proc im just trying to decide on mobo's i found this onehttp://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131392&cm_re=Asus_am3_motherboard-_-13-131-392-_-Productbut the only thing i don't like is the max you can set your ram to is 1600mhz, the up side is both pci-e lanes are 16x which will be great for crossfire, but if anyone can give me some suggestions an a good am3 board price will not be an issue for it, also 1 more question should i get the 140w or the 125w 965 i know lower wattage will help with a better oc but some insight and knowledge will help me out thank you. :)

Far from Demanding all i was asking for was a lil help on my Decision and i also want my build at my home ready to be assembled by the time i have the money to get it ordered i did most of my research but it comes down to two things proc and mobo, that was all i was asking about.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813130236

^this board supports up to 2133mhz ram with 3 x16 lanes for about $50 less

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N

^would be a good choice as well.

As for the processor, if your going to get a 965, make sure you get the 125w C3 version. I will run cooler and give you more overclocking headroom.

Both setups are overkill. Seriously... 4x 5870's would buy a top-tier system by itself. Unless you absolutely must run Crysis @ 5760 x 1080, I'd just buy a single 5870.

we'll i do what tri monitor setup, but until i can do that im gona need a bigger desk so i was thinking of getting the board i want getting two 5870's and once everything is built save for two extra monitors a bigger disk of course and two more cards.

I saw it on youtube. They also had to mod a case to fit them, they used these weird PCI Express things; they modded a BIOS; It was apparently worth it :P

oh yeah, the reason I asked about the case was 'cause you'll need an SSI CEB compatability.

niice :D im gona look for it now rofl, i was gona amd until i saw this monster of a mobo and after reading about it, it made me want it even more also i cut down the price of my build by removing the two 5970's and decided on getting the 5870's, so i have some head room for one more thing which just might be Windows 7 i ahve been hearing alot of good things about it :)

That wouldn't make sense. A 5870 is spec'ed with a TDP of 188W, though it's actual power consumption is far lower than that.

Still, if you calculate the total power consumption of 4x 5870's outputting their maximum TDP paired with an overclocked i7 920 outputting 200W, the total number would come to 952W. Add in all the other components (MB, HDD's, fans etc.) and the number would still be in the 1000W-1100W region.

Their calculator just over-compensates to take into account the crappity power-supplies on the market today.
