I have a $1800-$1900 budget i dont need a monitor. Must have a quad core. Need 4gigs of ram(vista 64bit) Motherboard must have good overclocking options. I wont be building for another month so i was wondering if i should wait for phenom or nvidia 9800's. My current rig is pretty good but im going to sell that to my brother so i got a little time. I want it to play crysis at 2048x1536 with highest settings(i like setting unrealistic goals) right now at that resolution i get like 5fps :(. well good luck and good hunting

Sorry bud, with the current hardware, it will be impossible to play well at that resolution. Wait for the new 8800gts or the RV670 cards to come out, also wait and possibly snag the Extreme quad core penryn coming out next month.

That's the same thing I was thinking. You better be searching online for every single piece and finding the best deals that you can possibly find. And at the end of it all, I still don't think you are going to walk away with the system you want for that little of money. I will keep my eye out for things that will do the job and are relatively low on price for ya though.

Honestly, it's too early to tell. We'll be seeing more X38 boards in the next month, and we'll also be seeing AMD's answer to both Nvidia and Intel. There are honestly too many variables coming up to really solidify a good build. I'd suggest waiting until a few days before you actually build, then ask again.
