So I was thinking of building a pc with a budget from $700 to $1000 usd and am really considering a small form factor chasis such as the x51 from Alienware but I'm assuming building one for around $700 would be far superior then alienwares comparable price range, so gamespot where do I start, any sleek cases you can recommend? Parts as well? Thanks in advance for all your help!

Fractal Design Node 304 is what I'd buy as far as cases go. For parts, 3570K, the Gigabyte Z77 mini ITX motherboard, 8 GB of cheap RAM, Radeon 7870 or GTX 660, and a Seasonic 550 watt 80 plus gold power supply.

Also how much is the premium of getting a small case, like no gtx series or longer cards?

You can fit any video card you can think of in the Node 304, don't need to worry about that. Only thing you'll have trouble fitting is a massive CPU cooler.[QUOTE="04dcarraher"]I would look into this case http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811119265

That thing is huge and hideous. He said sleek.

I do prefer node 302, but both cases could do the trick but node it probably is, now to add parts :)

I have this case for my server and I love it

There looks to be a ton of room for a long video card too.

This one looks pretty awesome too. Bit pricey though.

Just watch some videos of both and see which you think you'll prefer. It looks like the video card might not have much room to breath in the Lian Li, but idk.

This one has been in a lot of build videos lately. Good engineering gives you a good amount of space.

I was gonna suggest the Prodigy, but I thought it was too big for what he was asking for.

That looks pretty cool. Personally, I would just buy a handle and screw it on top of that and it would be perfect.
