Well i'm planning to build a new pc since i can't run many of the new games coming out, i'd like some advice from you.

This is what i'm planning to buy:

Monitor : 2232BW ( any other solutions for a 22 inch in the same price range? )

Graphic card:Radeon 4850 ( any recommendations for a cooler? i read the included one on the 4850 isn't enough... at all.. )

Motherboard: not quite sure yet, any ideas on MSI P45 Neo3-FR?

CPU: Intel E8400/8500 (3.00ghz/3.16ghz) or the Q6600 quad core (2.4 ghz, easily overclocked too 3+ ghz)

CPU cooler: Scythe Infinity SCINF-1000

RAM: OCZ 4GB (2x2GB) PC6400, CL4

As you can see i can use some help, the monitor, i read it is a good one overall but if you have any better ideas then i'm pleased to know.

Could use some help on the Motherboard.

As for the CPU, they are both great deals.. the E8400/E8500 vs the Q6600. The E8400/E8500 will outperform the Q6600 in most of the games, the Q6600 however haves an advantage in games made for quad cores.

So basicly the E8400/E8500 is the best solution for now, but the Q6600 is more future proof now that more and more games are being made for quad cores. Which one should i take?

Get a TOXIC HD 4850, comes with a preinstalled cooler an overclocked already. It cost only $200! :D

I was going to mention the TOXIC HD4850 - it's marginally overclocked, as well as having a decent cooler on it too, and it's only $30-40 more than a normal HD4850, which for the spec increase is a good price. Since you're going for an ATI card, you might as well go for a decent Intel chipset just in case you want to run CrossFire in the future. Something like an ASUS P5K Premium Wifi-AP is a decent motherboard, as well as most of the X38 DFI LanParty series. They're also not too expensive... I guess it's only limited by the amount you want to spend, really.

Yeh. Out of the box, some 4850s, especially earlier ones run far too hot. Like idleing at 75 celcius and loading at 95 celsius. If you go for a standard 4850 with reference cooler attached, there is a fan fix that can be applied, if it is running to hot, which can lower temperatures to more normal 50-70 celsius range. Alternative is to buy a card with a custom cooler fitted or use an aftermarket cooler like the one Im using. This is the Arctic Cooling Accelero S1 Rev 2. This is combined with the Arctic Cooling Turbo Fan module made for the cooloer. This pulls the temps right down to like 30-50 celsius. Only thing with aftermarket cooloers is, you will probably invalidate your warranty. End of the day, the 4850 is a great card, but if I had some extra cash, I would go for the 4870. Most of these seem to have a proper dual slot cooler fitted too.
