If you want entry-level PC, consider getting refurbished PC. There are plenty of deals for pretty crazy models (including gaming PCs). A lot of deals have quality PCs that will be cheaper than building your own.

This is the wrong forum to ask these questions and no, pre-builts do not suck. They can be just as powerful as any custom built machine. The difference is usually the cost of such machines in which DIY can save you upwards for 1000s of dollars.
