...with Dell.

I'm planning to buy a Dell XPS M1530 and i wanted to know what do you guys think about it so far.

Specs:

-Intel Core 2 Duo Processor T7500 (2.2 GHz/800Mhz FSB, 4MB cache)

- Glossy, widescreen 15.4 inch LCD (1280 x 800) & 2.0 MP camera

- 2GB Shared Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM at 667 MHz (2 dimms)

- 160 GB 5400 rpm SATA Hard Drive

- 256 MB NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT

- 56 WHr 6-cell Lithium Ion Primary Battery

This laptop isn't meant for hardcore gaming, i just wanted it to be powerfull enought to play Dreamfall: The Longest Journey and other future adventure games.

Do you think it's good enought? If not, what modification would you do to it?

looks good, wish my laptop was that good. did you get the free 3 year warranty?

I realy suggest the accidental damage, but I'm not sure about the lojack (doesn't mean you shouldn't).

I was thinking, do you think 2 GB of RAM is just right or too low? Should i increase it to 3GB?

Or what about the Hard Drive...should i increase it to 250GB?

dude you'll be **** to people all over the world trying to decipher broken english before you get service. Same thing every time, "please shut down your computer and remove the battery......you would be surprise how much crap you have to suffer through to just get a box sent to your house. They want you to endure the pain to punish you for actually cashing in on your warranty. They for sure assemble it in china too. you send it in and get back some frankendell with parts recertified and refurbished.

i would parts individually with manufacturers warranties for each component. woof

I could say the samthing about all companies, the best choice is to build a laptop myself and learn to fix it and all that stuff.

$hit-yeah. With your budget you will pay about the same for diy as you would for dell with warranty. only thing your manufacturer warranties wont cover is a broken screen. Personal experience: I have had the same piece of crap laptop for like 4 years emachine and it runs fine took it apart several times to clean and replaced screen after ex girlfriend....thats another thing, i think a laptop lasts longer with a male than a female.
