Well I decided to finally upgrade and I just need to ask a few things.

First off however, I show what I'm looking to buy:

Q660

9800GTX

Some Asuteck motherboard

Thermaltake VA7000BWA Shark Case

Corsair Memory 650W.

I'm just using the RAM and hard drive from my old machine.

Ok the questions I have are:

1) Are all these parts compatible?

2) Are they decent?

3) What else will I need? (got speakers, monitor, mouse, keyboard etc.)

4) Will I need extra cooling?

5) Do I really need the PSU if I already have this?

Any help anyone can give would be appreciated :)

1: Yes, they're all compatible.

2: Decent, but they could probably use some adjusting.

3: An Operating system? Optical drive? Hard to tell what else you need if you say "etc." now isn't it?

4: Depends on how hot your room (or wherever the computer will be) is. Given your location (UK), ambient temperatures shouldn't be too bad. A nice aftermarket CPU cooler wouldn't hurt, even if it's more for noise than cooling reasons.

5: Given that the 9800GTX requires two 6-pin connectors, I'd err on the side of caution and get a new power supply. You'll probably be just fine however.

Actually, that's the 9800gx2. The 9800gtx only requires 2 6-pin pci-e connectors.

9800gtx uses 2 6pin connectors, not a 8 pin
