Other sites aren't going that high with the score but the reviews are looking pretty good. It's at 88 on Metacrtitic right now.
I can't buy that review. I mean, it sounds just like a fighting game? And comparing it as as evolutionary as HL2? Crysis was a huge step in improvisation, which is exactly what this review is complimenting the game on and yet its not referenced. Having combo options does not make it strategic. Even Cliffy would have a hard time suggesting that the game has emotional hooks. What do I know though? I'm just going off the footage. biggest_loser
Combos make the game strategic, but it's hard to explain to those that haven't played it. There's no other FPS that makes you think so hard about how you're going to kill.

Play Crysis on Delta and than say that there is no other game that makes you think hard how to kill.[QUOTE="Baranga"][QUOTE="biggest_loser"]I can't buy that review. Play Crysis on Delta and than say that there is no other game that makes you think hard how to kill.I did. Bulletstorm's demo made me think a lot more, since every enemy is valuable and you must exploit him for maximum points. Reading the situation and having to make split second decisions makes it far more entertaining than it has any right to be. It's like Painkiller, except that you shouldn't simply massacre the enemies. You must play with them, manipulate them and learn how to set traps in a matter of seconds. Plus the scoring system forces you to use different tactics, repeating combos makes you lose points.
When the hell did they announce that campaign co-op was dropped? That was really the only reason I was interested in this game. The multiplayer component as it is now sounds quite dull.

Of course you can't buy it, it's already been bought. :P

Actually I did. Lol, now I wonder if work on Bulletstorm started before those guys left PCF to make Necrovision, since there are some obvious similarities. But you can get through Necrovision wihout combos, while in Bulletstorm you'd be out of ammo and weapons.
I don't like GFWL either, but we have no choice. Batman Arkham Asylum used GFWL too but I had no issues. I just bought Bulletstorm. I'm downloading it now. Should be fun, I hope.Elann2008Batman AA didn't have a multiplayer mode. My experience with GWFL in Dawn of War 2 was unsatisfactory so I won't be buying this game anytime soon.

Dawn of War 2 on GWFL was an awful experience. I was getting this weird pause/freeze/lag every 3-5 minutes. It was really annoying. True about the Batman part.. I totally forgot. Hopefully i don't run into issues with Bulletstorm. Fingers crossed.
Only Kozzy can convince me to buy this game. With the way he feels about it right now, I don't think I'll ever get to play it. Elann2008
I have only tried the demo on the consoles and I was not very impressed. But then again there are a good number of games that I didnt enjoy the demo for that I liked the full game alot in the end.
I will give this game a shot on pc sometime soon, just not right off the bat after my experience with the demo. Just seems like something I would get bored of rather fast, but only time will tell, I could end up lovign it for all I know :P

True true. I wasn't impressed with the Bulletstorm demo either. I was almost convinced I wouldn't buy the game until it hit Steam sales. I found a really good deal on it on eBay so I said what the hell. If it was at full price, I would have never purchased it. So here goes, haha. I hope I don't hate myself for buying it too. I'll definitely give my first impressions once I've played at least 3 hours of it. Maybe I'll be the one doing the convincing this time. ;)Please Log In to post.
