bungie makers of halo, myth and Oni are hard at work on a new IP which is strictly for us.

consoles while it may reach them is certainly up in their right now. they have also dismissed any notion that its going to be an MMO and its a fully owned IP so no microsoft association here.

i look on expectantly.. hope its a new myth :D

Well, that explains it. Activision wants to reach out to as many consoles as they can get their hands on while Microsoft basically wanted Bungie to keep the Halo games exclusive so as to increase the sales of the Xbox 360.

Still, be interesting to see what they are going to make. After all, I really liked the first Halo game.

I hope it's a space trading/exploration/combat game.

Prior to Halo, Bungie tended to be quite creative and under-appreciated at the same time. Perhaps it was because of their Mac roots. But, I respected them then, ranking them alongside id and Valve. I still respect them now.

They've also been together as a group for a while. I still remember Pathways Into Darkness and Marathon in addition to the games above.

Well that .....I'd actually pay to see. the CoD heroes versus the Halo characters XD. (Anyone picturing Soap bashing Convenant skulls while Reznov yells like a maniac, "They must all die!"?)

Where did they dismiss that it's an MMO? I'd think I would have heard about that. All the rumors are that it IS an MMO, but those are, of course, just rumors.
