I have a xbox 360 and want to upgrade. I don't anything about tv's so I would like some recommendations.

Here are my guidelines: Under $300, small size tv(maybe 19"-26")

Also I would like to know what kind of cables your supposed to use to hook up to the tv with the xbox, and if those cables come with the tv or if you have to buy them(how much).

This would probably suit you best. 20" HDTV, DVI and VGA inputs, 2 HDMI inputs, DTV tuner built-in, component in, optical output.

Seems like a good deal but I think you need to buy the HDMI cables.

Resolution: 1680x1050 so what does this pixel mean both postings have this, i thought it was supposed to end in x720 or x1080... is x1050 good for games or something... is x1050, 1080i maybe..... also Connectivity: DVI, VGA ,what type of connections does 360 have I know it has VGA but does it have others like DVI .... which type of connection is best for quality

HDMI is the best quality of output for the 360. Not all 360 can support this. Check the back of your 360. Where you plug in the cables. Component and VGA are pretty similiar. Both analog connection. I use VGA cable with that monitor and it looks great.

with 1050, 1080 images will have to be scaled. You will lose detail.
