Buying a HD, I need help

I have a xbox 360 and want to upgrade. I don't anything about tv's so I would like some recommendations.

Here are my guidelines: Under $300, small size tv(maybe 19"-26")

Also I would like to know what kind of cables your supposed to use to hook up to the tv with the xbox, and if those cables come with the tv or if you have to buy them(how much).

Resolution: 1680x1050 so what does this pixel mean both postings have this, i thought it was supposed to end in x720 or x1080... is x1050 good for games or something... is x1050, 1080i maybe..... also Connectivity: DVI, VGA ,what type of connections does 360 have I know it has VGA but does it have others like DVI .... which type of connection is best for qualityMARINE_B0Y

with 1050, 1080 images will have to be scaled. You will lose detail.

any more recommendations?
