Okay so this is what I am aiming for, I am going to bring a Laptop to college however I have in the past just bought computers at clearance sales so I really don't know what's good or not. So for this laptop, I know I want it to have Windows as its OS, and I want a large amount of memory on it. I will be mainly using this computer(aside from coursework which even the cheapest out there can handle) for videos which I would like to be its priority. I would however like it to be speedy enough while transporting files or playing Visual Novels(or Jrpgs) on it. So obviously the games aren't going to be terribly taxing on it. As for a budget...there is no set budget, but the final qualification is that it must be a pre-built model as I won't be building my own.

Thanks in advance for your help :)

Just get a laptop that has an Intel i5 or i7. A DEDICATED video card (important). About 4GB of RAM or more. U should be fine.

Substantially faster video card, slower processor. It'll be faster in games, but likely slower in CPU intensive programs.

I would post something from xoticpc, but the site is down.

You can customize it to your liking. Give it a quad core CPU and it should be much better then the HP. The 570M is a much better GPU then the HD 7470M
