I have 42" widescreen samsung plasma1068x768 [at least I'm buying one next week].

mypc:Intel(R) Pentium(R) D CPU 3.20GHz,1gb of ram and myvideocard is R300X

I think my spec ain't that bad but my videocard sucks.so since I'm buying a new plasma. I thought why not buy a new videocard.

but the problem is Idon't know anything about videocard, i need help.

anyway I need a videocard that I can play games with max sittings on my plasma. Idon't know what's the max resolution that the plasama can display but Iknow that it's native resolution is1024x768 anyway here's a link for the screen

http://www.samsung.com/us/consumer/detail/detail.do?group=televisions&type=televisions&subtype=plasmatv&model_cd=HPT4264X/XAA

and one more thing my power suply wattage is 350W so if I'm not mistaken I need one with400W-450W right? and how much will it cost me?

thanks in advance

Well first off 1068x768 is a pretty low resolution. How much are you willing to spend? You might want to get another gb of ram too. And the psu depends on the gpu you get, some will work fine on 350w.

u r rich.......

i think u should buy a new ram which is also 1 gig, then u canmake dual channel

i really think 1950pro is enough for u

btw if u need to run games on MAX with a higher resolution such as 1600*1200, u have to get two 1950 or just buy a 8800GTX

u kno dx10 card is expensive

i dont really think 8600GT can run tEH 10dx game on MAX..............It will belike Powerpoint

btw ur television is not 1080P ,so u dont really need a DX10 Card to view HD movie...............

tEH resolution of ur new TV should be 1368*768.......So I think 1950 is really enough

oh, dont forget buying a new RAM

If you want to use DX10 get a HD 2900pro. It's $260 and will destroy any game for a long time at that resolution. Make sure you get another gb of ram too.

No he said he has 500 for his PC. Thats 260 for 2900pro, 50 for ram, and 100 for PSU. Total is 410 plus shipping. No need for a 500 dollar card he is using a low resolution. Even a 2900 is overkill for todays games.

thx guys.

so I need a screenw ith 1080p for 10dx right?looks like i need to look for a new screen

right now I have 2200$ to spend, and I can save up to400$ a month. so what I should do with them?

buying a new1080p screen will cost meat least 30000$

I have no problem if i need to wait for a month or two but I don't wanna wait then spend them on the wrong things

btw is there much difference between 768p and 1080p if there isn't i'll just buy the 768p plasma

(and one more stupid thing; which is better for gaming lcd or plasma?A)

No that 720p Samsung will work fine. But if you can get the 1080p it will look much nicer for computer use.

I have a 42" Hitachi Plasma 1080p and it is freaking awesome for movies console games and etc best I have ever seen!!

But for computers u want a LCD trust me I have had 3 different plasma's and they dont look near as good as a LCD so if you are buying for your computer get LCD.

Let me say,"plasma suck!!!"

well the size is your prefrence but in todays gaming IMO i believe a 24" LCD is plenty I use a 22" at 1680x1050 so i dont have to keep up with 1920xwhatever 1680x1050 is plenty IMO but choose as you wish. Just sayin the higher res u go the more stuff your going to keep on having to buy to keep up with games

Take a look at Dells 24", 27", or 30" monitors. Way cheaper and way better for computer use. They can also hook up to a 360 and PS3.

I'd go for the 27" at 19* x 12*, the 30" res is pretty demanding.
