I've always bought strictly from steam because of the no hassle system where you can install/delete as many times as you like. How does GoG work? I assume buying is the same, and I can use paypal. How many installs do you get for the game? Also are the games connected to a GoG account in a similar way that they are for steam?

If it's a good system I should start using GoG cause they have quite a few great deals.

GoG games have absolutely no DRM. Any titles they get that at one time had DRM have it stripped before GoG sells it (sometimes files are leftover but they do not activate). You can install GoG games on as many PC's as you like, as many times as you like - you can also play on more than one PC at a time. Of course, the ability to do this means that people buy more duplicate games just to support GoG :)

Alright, sounds like I'll jump on board :D Main concern was that I'd need to install a couple times due to reformatting, plus I'd like to have some games on my desktop as well as on my laptop.

... you have to make an account ( like everywhere ). Once you buy the game, it's tied to your account ( so you can't ever lose it, like Steam ), then it's yours to do with as you wish. There isn't anything tied to the install file ( like the dreaded DRM ) and you can redownload it whenever you feel the need, as many times as you need. You can put it on multiple PC's if you want; install, uninstall, reinstall as many times as your heart desires. Usually a bunch of extras come with most of the games too, that you can redownload all you want also. They're all older games, but it's actually a pretty sweet deal.

GOG's system is basically perfect. If anything, they're a bit -too- nice. :D

Good Old Games, nice site to pick up older, harder to find games that will work with modern day systems.
