I was wondering if anyone had anything to point out about buying pc games online. I was planning to buy Warhammer Online off ebay since it usually goes for way cheaper than the retail price. Has anyone had bad experiences like faulty keys or what not?

Not lately, but in general it is fine... If buying something like an MMO, make sure it is either a new copy, or they are supplying their account along with it, other wise you wont be able to use it.

I have had great experience buying games from Ebay because unlike say clothes the

vendor cannot eaisly mislead you.

One big word of warning NEVER buy a second-hand game. I bought Max Payne and it

was full of greasy substances as though the gamer ate burgers and chips all the time

he was playing. It was disgusting and I had to clean and disenfect every page of the

manual as well as the CD.

No, just don't buy from untrustworthy people. Ive bought plenty of used games, never had a problem like that.

Yeah, never, ever buy a MMO used. It's CD key has probably already been attached to an account. And you are working only off of trust that the person you buy it from will give you the correct information to get into the game. But IF they do, make sure to change the password AS SOON AS you get into it, otherwise the person you bought it from will still have access to your account.

I've bought plenty of games off of ebay and haven't had any real problems. If it's a PC game i usually only buy a new copy from an ebay store so i can be assured that any cd keys will be unused. I have bought plenty of new and used console games off of ebay with no problems, worst result was a game that was pretty scratched up, (which was not mentioned in the ad) but still ran fine. All in all i'd say it's a great place to shop for games, and will help you save quite a bit of cash over buying them in a physical store.

I go with amazon - from the games I've bought, it's been cheaper and hassle-free; I didn't have to deal with bidding or some absurd "buy now" prices.

I've bought plenty of used games on ebay and have never had a problem. I wouldn't trust it with a mmo or valve game though.

I buy games on eBay and they all work perfectly fine. You have to be smart, not just click and buy anything you see is cheap or to your liking. Check the feedback score, read the description carefully, and always ask questions before you bid or buy out. I hear so many people complaining and whining about their bad experiences but I blame it on the buyer, more so than the seller. Obviously, the seller is terrible for selling a bad product but as a buyer, you have yourself to blame as well for being so naive and stupid. Be smart about it.

I have never bought anything of Ebay but I can say for sure that I would. If only I lived in USA instead of Sweden and didnt have to pay high amounts of shipping fees.

Ebay favors the buyer since we're the ones who are in majority and making a lot of transactions, you can get some nice deals on ebay that you wouldn't otherwise. Amazon is also good for buying games and Direct2Drive (and Steam) :)
