That guy is trying to sell you a computer that won't work. That's an Intel motherboard, and he paired you with a (rather crappy) AMD processor. The chipset on the motherboard is outdated as well.

I wouldn't trust this guy, it seems like he doesn't know what he's doing, or is just trying to screw you over.

If moneys not an issue look at getting this setup:

  • Intel qx9650 cpu
  • EVGA 780i motherboard
  • 4gb dominator RAM
  • 3 8800 Ultra's
  • Samsung Spinpoint hardrives
  • 1200 power supply
  • Coolermaster Stacker case or Lian Li case

There's no need to get the absolute best computer. You could build one for around $2000 or less that will max all games but maybe Crysis. And yes you can build a computer, everyone's a noob when they first do it.
