I need some advice, i am going to buy a new pc and i am going to run the following games, basically all the lastest game.

Colin McRae Dirt
Unreal Tournament 3
Crysis
Gears of War
BioShock

I have the following options

machine1 dell XPS 420 - http://www1.euro.dell.com/content/products/productdetails.aspx/xpsdt_420?c=uk&l=en&s=dhs&cs=ukdhs1 - its the third system from the left or second from the right
-has a SINGLE 768MB nVidia® GeForce® 8800 GTX graphics card, i don't think i can add another graphic in sli mode either (correct me if i am wrong) the motherboard doesn't allow it?.
-i am going to get a dell E228WFP 22" with it

machine2 mesh computers - http://www.meshcomputers.com/Default.aspx?PAGE=PRODUCTVIEWPAGE&USG=PRODUCT&ENT=PRODUCT&KEY=232139
-but with a single 512MB nVIDIA GeForce 8800GT - Dual DVI, HDTV, TV Out as appossed to the 2X256.
-and get the 22" Iiyama ProLite E2202WS monitor

thanks for any input

Make sure you tell people you DON'T want to build your own, as that will prob be 50% of their advice

Both of those systems will run that list of games, pretty well at that.

Personally, I'd go with the XPS.

As said above, both will run the games quite well.

For me personally i'd go for option 2, it seems like a better deal u get an 8800GT and a monitor.

The first option is OK But, the GTX is "old" tech and overpriced compared to the GT and it comes with no monitor.

He's actually getting a monitor with the dell. I recommend the dell because GTX is faster than GT.

Personally I think they are both overpriced.

You can build one and get much better parts and save a lot of cash.

I am pretty sure there are better prebuilt PC companies at europe that are much better than dell.

How did you get 2 ultras SLId with an x38 mobo?

Anyway, I'd build my own, but between those two, I'd go with the first one.

It's called "sly-fire" mix one ati with one nvidia card, chipsets whatever, and hack bios wth extra volts!!!!! (2.7ma) and make sure your db15 ports disabled with hdmi, its just a new extension to the windows format. thats all.

Just get somebody to build your PC, even if they charge an amount that adds up to be more than buying pre-built because the quality is better by a land-slide

How about the second system from the left, will that play all the games well? It has a SINGLE 512MB NVIDIA GeForce 8800GT card

Any of the 8800's are extremely good Video Cards and will run damn near anything you want pretty well... Go for A pre-Built or the Dell...

Yes...I also "lol" at your misinformation. The GTX is in fact old tech, nearly a year old now. The GT and new GTS are new tech.

That is fair enough, but the Ultra is still the best performing card around, even if it is old. If you have the money to buy the best, why not buy one? I agree that it is certainly not best bang for buck, but the age of something is irrelevant-it is simply about how it performs.
