I'm finally making the jump to windows vista for dx10 support for my new video card and I wasn't sure if the e6600 is capable of 64 bit, i went to my computer and properties then advanced and something something something and it says my processor is x86 but i also read that the e6600 is also 64 bit is it or isnt it?

Yes, the E6600 is a 64-bit warrior.

so then i should pick up the 64 bit vista, alright thanks. o and right now i have 2 gigs of ram and vista is alot more demanding of memory then xp, so should i upgrade to 4 gigs or is it not a big deal?

get 4GB!!!! i got 8 because i'm greedy, but i came from 2GB and the performance difference is MASSIVE! Everything is so responsive. And games run sooooooooooo much smoother. I definetly recommend anyone who has vista 64bit to upgrade to 4GB of RAM.
