Well, I bought a 24" monitor (ASUS MK241H) to use for my PS3 and when I purchase a good pc sometime in the the future. I also decided to output my current computing solutions screen to it, a fairly crappy laptop, it was low-end 2 years ago. I'm using a VGA cable as that is the only output my laptop has.

The only problem is everything looks somewhat fuzzy/blurry, its bearable, but nowhere near as crisp as the laptop's screen itself. So, is this due to using a VGA cable, a relatively poor connection, or due to something else entirely. I'm fairly sure it's not a bad monitor as it is not low-end at all.

Thanks in advance.

I have the 24" monitor set to 1920x1200, which is the native res.

It's possible that your graphics card (integrated or not) can not display properly at that ratio. Try updating the drivers.

You can try a hdmi to dvi cable, that works with mine at 1920x1200

Looks awesome, and very clear.

The laptop's screen is turned off, I am using the monitor as my primary one, and I have it set to 1920x1200.
