Call of Duty 4 Graphics

Should Anisotropic filtering for Call of Duty 4be on maximum for best visuals? What other pointers can you give so i can max out my Graphics.

yes AF will make textures in the distance sharper.

Another thing that helps cod 4 look better is

r_lodbiasrigid -1000

r_lodbiasskinned -1000

basically this makes things like models have no pop in at all. Most noticable on cars, just move back from one in default and you see it loses detail at a certain distance, with those commands full detail any distance, can hurt fps obviously.

As for people saying the graphics suck, I agree; they may look bad on the 360, but on PC it's unbelievable. Some of the vistas are simply breathtaking.

I have never seen leaves blow off trees before and the game has such a realistic feel to it. All the missions have been layed out perfectly. The assassination mission with the S.A.S snipers is **** awesome. I was **** freakin out hoping I wouldn't be seen the enemy was literally right next to me. In conclusion its the best FPS I have ever played with the best realistic textures and graphics to date, There is no doubts. I could go on for hours but you have to play the game for yourself to really understand what I am ravin on about.

If your too scared to join the S.A.S or the U.S.M.C just buy a copy of COD4 its just about the real deal the only difference is you can die more then once.

COD4 is very good, but Crysis has the best graphics 'till now.... ohhh and about the thing you wrote at the end about joining these two armies, it's really not the same, it's alot different then what you see at the game....

how much does this hurt fps? and do you have to do it every time you play? what exactly does it do, give more details no matter what distance?

and the graphics are great, just not next gen like anything on unreal 3 engine or crysis

Thats the weird thing about this game to me...Although I dont' think they are crap there are some levels where it seems out of wack graphically. Like when you raid the houses looking for Al Asad in Russia.

Then you go play the Gilli level and its absolutely amazing.. Strange how this game has half non impressive visual levels and the other half are amazing.

Multiplayer is awesome. I'm running the game completely maxed out @ 1920x1280 and it runs smooth as butter. Never any slow downs. I was really surprised.

I was awesome at previous CoD games and CoD 4 is no differnet, in free for all, I've only gotten 2nd once and that was my 2nd free for all game.

2 hrs play time so far. 278 kills, and about 120 deaths. This game rocks! :D

Actually, the graphics on the Xbox360 compared to the PC with all settings turned up are hardly noticeable. I've played both...
