Call of Duty 4 - It is a long game! A raise your hand special

I am sick of hearing that COD4 is a short game!

I finished the single player campaign on Veteren and it would have taken about 10 hours - that is pretty standard in length.

The quality of that campaign was extremely high and people seem to be forgetting just how good it is for as long as it lasts.

They also don't seem to acknowledge that the multiplayer component is still part of the game:

Before playing COD4 I hardly touched MP but I have spent, and I just check this: 44 hours on the multiplayer alone.

So who agrees with me that COD4 is indeed a long game, putting both SP and MP together? Raise your hand!

Multiplayer much? Have you tried the highest difficulty sir?

You can't add multiplayer when judging a games length. For some it could be zero, for others 100. You need to go single player only. I spent about 5 hours on it. And you forgot to mention that the game gets too repetitive, I would rather blow through it on medium then play it for 10 hours on veteran getting bored.

The sniper mission was the last one I played on vet before getting bored and switching it to medium so I could finish it.

GOOD POINT. A good multiplayer component gives a game a hell of a lot of longevity.

Call of Duty 4's length doesn't concern me, but its quality does. It does nothing that Call of Duty 2 hadn't already done - and CoD2 did it all better. CoD 2 had a more exciting campaign, a longer campaign and it had much, much more diversity and plenty of cool deviations from the formula, like the tank missions.

The only things CoD 4 has is a story (but it's a wrapping paper plot) and the sniper flashback missions are genuinely good. Besides that, it's Call of Duty 2 all over again, only less exciting and less fulfilling. I actually stopped playing it about half way in because it was just doing nothing for me.

It may be an awesome multiplayer game, but I don't care about the multiplayer.

I've spent over 100 hours with Team Fortress 2, and I don't really consider myself much of a multiplayerer.

sorry but cod4 multiplayer is waaay overrated. i personally think it sucks compared to other mp games like bf2142 and counterstrike.
