Hah... Cod4. I'll be impressed when they do it with Crysis. The_PC_Gamer
been done better with the alienware screen
anyway i never understood why stereoscopic screen setup like that is so cool... You'd die twice as much playing like that on multiplayer because you wouldnt see people on the left or right fast enough, add reaction time to that, and aiming = dead.
I'll stick to one screen and own fools that way for now.

Unless you have problems with your eyes you should be able to see people in the corners easily. To quote 40yoVirign movie "use your peripherals". Also since your viewing area is larger, other enemies should be larger so easier to spot.

You speak as if its the same fov just stretched out. All most people see is whats on the center screen. People with this setup have an automatic advantage since they are more aware of their surroundings.

Except there's two things to take notice here:
1. Call of Duty 4's enjoyment level will last you about a month (maximum) and it will begin to get extremely dull, not to mention the lag when you decide to play online.
2. Think of the things you can do with $2,000? Think of the fun you can have?
I don't see the attraction to any setup like this at all, sure you get a full 180 FOV but you get two horrible black bars in your vision. But because the screens will display as though they are continuous you get the horrible effect of an image being rendered at 3840x1024 and having it split into three and moved appart, which is just evil to play with. Also, because the game is renderign with 180 FOV and is only really 90 of your view, everything looks streched and distorted, how can that be any good?
I personally prefere a widescreen projector, you don't get the insane FOV but it doesn't look as distorted, you don't get the horrible black bars and costs far less.
Have fun.

Yes, Call of Duty 4 is a rather dull game, but this thread is not about the game being played, but rather the monitor set up being shown.
