Okay so I've found out that Infinity Ward isn't behind the next step for the COD franchise. In my opinion, they executed very well on COD 1 and COD 4 was a masterpiece ( in my opinion ).

Do you think the new developers would carry it where is needs to go? Or would they wreck it and loose some fans along with it.

Worse, They are just going to try and capitalize on the success of call of duty 4. Just like they did with call of duty 3.

I'm looking forward to it. I've play Call of Duty since the first one and liked every one of them. I'm just tired of hearing all the complaints about going back to World War II, don't like it? Don't play it. It's simple. I say give Treyarch a chance.

Infinity Ward is most likely already working on the next one any way and OMG what if that one isn't Modern? What will the people do... find another game set in modern times I'm sure... there isn't a shortage of them either...

This adds a new flavor to the game. This game takes place during the Pacific Campaign during WWII. They are trying to stay with in the limits of the era of those particular battles. Let's see, says the blind man

It might be a good game but I don't expect it to be as good as the first CoD.

Most people simply don't like that it's done by Treyarch, who's gotten a very, very bad rep for how they did on Call of Duty: Big Red One and Call of Duty 3. It has nothing to do with the setting for most.

It's in the pacific theater against the Japanese. There are no Jerry's and Krauts.

nobody really knows until the game is finally released. but since i'm hoping instead for a CoD4 expansion, i'm not feeling particularly hip about this game....
