Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 or Left 4 Dead 2?

Which one of these 2 games are you guys gonna buy? For me it's definitely L4D2. I've more or less read about the boycott thing going on, and although I do not really agree withthe boycotters I DO think they have valid reasons to be mad but with that said, I still like Valve considering the massive amount of attention it has given us pc gamers like all the updates and such.

CODMW2 on the other hand does not have the prestige version, and Activision thinks their smart pushing the game's price up to $60. Not that I cannot do without a night goggles toy or a spare 5 or 10 bucks in my wallet but it tells alot about their **** attitude towards pc gamers. I might get this game when its price drops.

Definately MW2. I don't think L4D2 has a lot of new stuff to offer from the first L4D.

I get whatever looks good to me, so I will likely be getting both of these games. I am capable of liking more than one thing at once.

I hear wal mart has it for 50$ + a 10$ gift card, a UK store has it for 23 pounds etc etc, some retailers have it for 60$ but thats quite stupid from a buisness perspective when there is competition that offers it for 50$

Both are re-hashes of the previous game in the series, and neither is worth full price at launch.

MW2. The more i see of these games the less I am impressed but I still think mw2 will be better since cod4 was much better than l4d imo.

I'll buy L4D2 at christmas, then MW2 some time next year.

My 100% reason for wanting to get L4D2 over MW2 is just so I am not supporting my cash toward $60 games. However I had never heard of what you stated but, a quick walmart.com search and it looks true, are they technically selling this game for $40??

CoD: MW2 becasue you get more gameplay and i think it's a better exprince overall.

depends, I don't know if you can use that gift card you get with MW2 for MW2

but MW2 is at certain places 50$, like every other PC game, so that "zomg not buying it beacose it is 60$" argument I hear all the time is kinda pointless

if you realy want to show activision that you don't support 60$ PC games, buy MW2 at a place where they have it for 50$, by not buying the game you show them you have no intent of actualy buying the game, by buying it for 50$ you show them you are wiling to buy MW2 and support IW, since it is a good game, but you aren't wiling to pay 60$ for it

MW2 doesn't appeal to me at all, especially if the multiplayer is anything like the last two games (regenerating health, grenade spam, helicopters...ugh).

MW2 impressed me more than any other game at E3 - it was a wonderful presentation. I can't really separate these two though. There will be enough new content in L4D2 for me to purchase it. I certainly got my moneys worth out of both predecessors to these games, with over 100 hours for each of them. biggest_loser

Agreed, though I will probably get Left 4 Dead 2 first, get my monies out of that, and then get MW2. Or I might get L4D2 for PC and MW2 for 360. However it goes, I will be buying L4D2 for my PC.
