Yeah, after playing it a bit more I've come to like it a lot. I for some reason, like this better than COD4 (the game is exactly like COD4 though). I like modern weapons more, but for some reason I like W@W better than COD4. Don't know why.
I dont know. It seems like cod4 with just a new skin put over it. Multiplayers seems exactly the same with new maps/weapons. It will be interesting to see how the sp turns out though
I haven't played the beta but from what I've seen...CoD5 is what CoD4 was suppose to be. They went modern on us that turned into run and gun. WW2 is definitely going to be slower paced (might not be with all these new weapons and stuff)..with hopefully more tactics.
I still prefer cod4, there are a few things I want them to fix after the beta, namely the gun sounds and spawning locations in WaW. The damage in hardcore mode seems to be wrong also, It's nearly the same as just playing on regular mode, just without the hud. I played it for a few days with my friend and we went back to cod4, it just feels like such a more completed and polished games, but I'll see how it is after it's official release. I'm more interested in the co-op single player campaign then the MP for now.
i played cod4 and world at war, cod4 has a better first impression but i'm growing to love world at war. my confidence is rekindled that i will buy it at launch after a few hours of beta time.
I was never fussed on CoD 4:MW, and I definitely prefer CoD:WaW. There's just something about the feel of the game, and they've made enough changes, that I like it more.
My favourite in the series still remains UO, followed by vCoD, but CoD:WaW could easily come third if they fix the bugs and address some of the issues with the game.
I'm about 80% done with it or so, so far I like it a lot. Only thing that annoys me is the weapon sounds, some are not realistic at all like the M1 Garand which is just a muffled sound and it sounds awful. The flamethrower is probably the best weapon in the game
