I loved the first game, but lots of others hated the platforming and stealth bits.
The sequel looks too arcadey, which kinda annoys me (I liked having characters that could die in a few hits - maybe I just have weird taste in games), but it still looks fantastic.
1st Game came with my graphics card, and i was ehh, whats this thing, some cheap game. I'd never heard about it, not sure if there was much hype about it, maybe i was living under a rock or sumthing. But i was completly surprised when i started playing it. The graphics were pretty amazing i thourght for that time. Then they released it in DirectX10 later and it looked a bit better. But the game was very fun also. Storyline keeped me hooked at it. I hate western movies, and stuff like that, but the game made it love it.
So yeh, im really excited about the second. can not wait to play call of juarez bound in blood :)
i have been playing call of juarez, but i have black bars!
is this just happening to me, or is this the same for everyone else?
Call of Juarez wasn't open enough.
You were on a roller-coster ride that wasn't really even very inventive. You were just being funneled down these very narrow corridors. What I discovered was that the corridors became narrower and narrower as the game progressed, almost like the developer needed to finish the game and didn't want to create wide-open spaces.
That said, I'm down for some western shooting, if the game is good.

True, but remember that the game is about the "call of juarez" ie the madness that drives men who seek the lost treasure of juarez. The increased claustrophobia as you get near the end of the game is just a metaphor for the increasing madness that drives these men (mainly Reverand Ray). Atleast that's my take on it, as I am only a little more than half-way through the game :p Also openness does not a good game make, and while the scripted events in this game weren't exactly the most inventive, the game is still pretty fun, atleast I thought :)
yeah I 'll play it if it scores higher than the first. I didn't like climbing a mountain and shooting 3 rabbits in the first one, but I'll shoot some injins in this one. The problem is, it looks consolized, so it might be ruined , just like Fear 2.couly
