If I max everything out it runs like crap. I'm playing on medium and it still looks pretty damn good. All I need now is another gig if ram to kill all the stutters.

C&C 3 is built off a modified Generals engine (SAGE).  That game is pretty old (atleast a few years) and ran perfectly on my P4 2.8, 1GB memory, and a 6600GT 128MB card.  I think C&C 3 would run adequately on that system, and simply amazing if it had 2GB of memory and a 7600GT.

As it is now, C&C 3 is running at 1600x1050 with everything set to high settings on the following rig"
C2D E6400
eVGA 680i chipset mobo
2GB DDR2 800 memory
Geforce 7600GT vid card.

Dude it's an RTS! You have a top of the line pc anyway. If you cant run this game with max settings there is a problem lol.

well that is a pretty good setup. The gfx card has more to do with things than the cpu and your card is about the best out there unless you go sli or band new dx10. Even your cpu is still good. Anyway, i played the game and thought it looked pretty poor compared to something like company of heroes.

Are you sure you're not getting mixed up with Supreme Commander. That will mess up severely when there are a lot of units on the screen even if you have a pretty high quality setup.
