Well, C&C3 is totally not what I expected for the following reasons.

Reason 1. So I am there, commandeering my army through heck. I recaptured the Pentagon, The White House, done Commando raids, basically saving the world of those NOD suckers and alien whimps and at the end, my horrible 3 star general turns down on me, saying "I should be ashamed of myself wearing the GDI uniform" because I had to use the dumb Tiberium Bomb (HARD mode) to finnish off the NOD. I mean, the deaths are first of all yellow/red zone citizens that supported NOD, so at the end you're just doing them all a favor by blowing them up right away instead of letting them turn into hulk first until crystals start growing our of their eyes and mouth which would cause even more of a horrible death. Second, NOD needs to be ELIMINATED the faster the better, so I got a bomb ready to roll, I will use it, I guess the others in between are collateral damage, a war takes unfortunately many civilian deaths but as I said, you did them all a favor. One of the countries that blew up when i used the bomb was my native one, collateral damage and there is a guy at the end sayign I should be ashamed of myself.... but thanks God that guy is a goner and I am now the highest in Command because the secretary of treasury elected me as his new right hand. Now that is a real warrior, no time for paperwork, just give the enemies what they ask for, that's a leader not those pansy arse Generals sticking to their lousy protocols and "well, it's not who the GDI is, we destroy tibeirum, don't use it".

Next. The game is  so easy to beat, I finnished most missions including the last one on HARD. If you play NOD it is even more easier, what you do is build a few venoms and about 3-4 squads of Vertigo Bombers. Then you sent the 2-3 venoms into an enemy base straight on, so the enemy engages them and meanwhile you let the vertigo bombers blow up the targets of opportunity. It is a good and cheap method to finnish off the enemy when you play NOD. At the end, NOD air power is the best, those Vertigo Bombers got some great armor too !

The GDI is harder to beat in HARD mode because their air units this time suck. So you rely on the usual Mammoth Tank/medium Tank mix with railgun upgrades.

C&C 3 Tiberium wars = A disappointment, way too short, way too easy and some bad generals at the end saying that I should be ashamed of wearing the GDI uniform.....

I was concerned at this, straight from playing the demo...  It seems they want to revive the tank spamming days of the original C&C games... Not their best decision ever, I would argue.

At least the NOD side gives you some great aircraft tactics to opt for. I am however disappointed of the Commandos, you pretty much can only use them in the two commando missions, in the others it is impossible to penetrate a base, it'll jsut get detected and fried right away. Coronel Burton from Generals was the man. I am sad that the Commando was not really emphasozed on. His sounds are also boring, not like the original C&C1 after a kill "AHAHAHAHAHAH that was left handed"

You do know that if you dont use the tiberium bomb, you get a different ending right?

Go back, reload the last mission, and wipe out Nod conventionally.  Shouldnt be too hard since the game is too easy for you.  You will get the kudos it sounds like you want from your general.

to be disappointed you must first have expectations beyond the eventual result, meaning you were expecting a long and hard game with a nice ending, right?

uh... why?

command and conquer has always been easy (both skirmish & campaign), and with the possible exception of red alert (which got 2 expansions (over 70 missions in all?)) - no c&c campaign has ever been particularly long, even when playing both campaigns, might get, what, 20 hours total?

as for the bad ending, i never played it so i won't comment - but if you used a tiberium bomb, you should be ashamed of yourself, there should be no pride in killing ever, especially not in wholesale extermination you monster!!!

really, i think it's perfectly fine to complain and stuff, i spend half my posts around here complaining about how much things suck - but if you're disappointed that the game didn't meet your expectations, it's your own fault for not researching properly, if you knew anything about the c&c history, and weren't getting all starry eyed nostalgic, then you should've known just what you were getting yourself into

lol, the Nod were extremely easy to take out. the whole game they didnt send more than a few tanks/infantry in periodic assaults. The Scrin are the real problem. If you say its so easy to just mammoth spam, then do it. Didnt take much more than 10 of them to take out the Nod base conventionally.

Ah yes, the EA hater gpvalkyrie, who's computer can apparently handle any game, but the specs he speaks about are so pseudo that you realise he is just another troll looking for attention.

Allow me,

Well, C&C3 is totally not what I expected for the following reasons.

Reason 1. So I am there, commandeering my army through heck. I recaptured the Pentagon, The White House, done Commando raids, basically saving the world of those NOD suckers and alien whimps and at the end, my horrible 3 star general turns down on me, saying "I should be ashamed of myself wearing the GDI uniform" because I had to use the dumb Tiberium Bomb (HARD mode) to finnish off the NOD. gpvalkyrie

You have the option of using it or not using it. Deal with it. GDI have always been Nancies when it comes to winning wars and using weapons that cause massive collateral damage. Play the game again and this time, don't use it.

At the end, NOD air power is the best, those Vertigo Bombers got some great armor too !

gpvalkyrie

Funny that, if I remember correctly, you VS the Scrin a little later on in your campaigns, and their air and anti-air are top of the line (PAC's anyone). I think if you actually played the entire Nod Campaign (which you haven't, otherwise you'd realise that it is actually much harder than GDI's, rather than the other way around), you'd find your strategy just doesn't work, because in some of the better Nod missions, you do not have access to that weaponry, nor will it be effective as the strategy you should use.

The GDI is harder to beat in HARD mode because their air units this time suck. So you rely on the usual Mammoth Tank/medium Tank mix with railgun upgrades.

gpvalkyrie

Granted, GDI air units suck. But GDI aren't designed to have their airforce as their primary way of attacking, they use their APC's, Pitbulls and Mammoths, coupled with some infantry. Also, see my above point, GDI campaign is much easier than Nod.

C&C 3 Tiberium wars = A disappointment, way too short, way too easy and some bad generals at the end saying that I should be ashamed of wearing the GDI uniform.....

gpvalkyrie

Ya, and you're basing this off your one playthrough as GDI, getting one ending and because you've always hated EA (see his other older topics, he was at one stage going to "Sue EA" because a game didn't work fully on his pseudo beast of a computer). Please don't troll again, post again, or even breed, because all you do is bring idiocy to the boards whenever you flame EA (granted they ain't the best company, more like one of the worst). But when you're using arguments that obviously make you a person who is just tagging along on the trend of "EA bashing", that just makes you look foolish.

PS. It's Nod, not NOD. It is not an acronym. I also noticed you gave it a 9.3. Yeah, that's a "really bad score" for a game that you hate, considering gamespot gave it a 9.0.

I disagree with the comment that, "Command & Conquer has always been easy."  the original C&C could toss you into some hopeless situations with very little room to breathe.

All I have to say is the game will not be better than Supreme Commander, Dawn of War, company of heros, or Star Craft

Well maybe I am wrong about that dawn of war, or company of heros being better than C&C 3 but this is comming from a person who played alot of THQ RTS games and not many EA games. So just don't get Ticked off if this offends u if u are a big fan of C&C3
