Hey all.

I found my favourite childhood game the other day, Command and Conquer Red Alert for Wn 95. Trouble is im running vista now. Is there any way that I can still play this (Aside from partitioning my hard drive and instlling another OS). I tried a program called DosBox but I cant seem to get that to work either.

Cheers! Shucked! :D

Under XP I got it to work by setting the game into compatbilty mode for 95. Dont know if it will wrk for Vista. Right click on icon and go to properties, the option is there at top.

Which icon do you mean? the cd drive?

I can't even install because i'm getting this message:

"Windows 6.0 is currently running. This version of Red Alert is a Windows 95 only product."

Cheers, Shucked!

Well I have the first decade, and I switch that to compatability mode for win 95 when I wanna play it. To do so, right click on the shortcut on your desktop (or anywhere) and click properties.

If you still can't get it to work, pick up the First decade. It had every C&C game from the first to Generals. It works on vista.

No the icon for the game either on your desktop or in your Start menu.

Yea, but you won't get that icon if the game can't be installed.

Good point. Try exploring the DC drive and finding the setup icon and running that in compatability for 95.
