Everybody is talking about Starcraft II, and I don't mind, but there are also other good RTS games. Just recently EA brought out the final C&C Tuberium game, or have they? What do you think, wihich C&C game will EA bring this time out? According to some insiders C&C Generals 2 is coming out, others say Red Alert 4 is coming, and even dare to say that EA will bring a spin off of Tiberium, something like Halo Reach or Wars. Your opinion counts

Can't say I really care about the C&C series anymore but I'd like another Red Alert. SC 2 is the only good RTS that is just about to be released :P nobody really cares about games that might not even exist yet.

that's your opinion, but I think that beside SC series and Warcraft series, C&C games defined RTS games

yes it did, but those were the days. RTS genre has evolved a lot, and i don't personally care about the C&C series anymore. They have done little to evolve the series lately.

Defined, yes, past tense. The last good C&C imo was RA 2, the last decent one was Generals. It's been quite a few years since that "good" series ended.

I can't quite agree on that, C&C Generals was great, people still play this game online, and C&C 3 TW was decent, but C&C 4 sucked all the way

dunno, don't care; they've dumbed down the series badly, even worse than NFS series after Pro Street and Undercover (at least the new Shift is great simulator - great comeback). If they'll release new game it'll be in about 10 years I hope so - new improved C&C like the way everyone loved it

CnC 4 was a game with change for change sake and perhaps it was a game the franchise needed to get the developers on the right track. I just hope StarCraft 2 demonstrates to EA that improving an old game can sell big. I'm sure they will give the tiberium franchise a rest and perhaps even the franchise a rest for a few years. They need to back to the drawing board and take the games westwood developed and improve them, not change them. Maybe it's time to do a straightforward remake with current tech. I doubt we've seen the last of the tib sun universe and EA will be back with CnC games.

agree on that, they really need to get back to the roots, and rebuild the game, not change it completely

With CNC4 done, the interesting side of the CnC series is gone. So I guess they could make a new Red alert. But after how bad 3 was I personally have no interest in another. I want a proper CnC4. One with Kane's Wrath-esque gameplay, because CnC3: Kane's Wrath was FANTASTIC.

you guys talk as if starcraft 2 is evolving the genre in anyway. The core gameplay is still the same.

Tiberium Wars was great, it brought back the classic Command and Conquer style that was lost in Generals. Red Alert 3 wasn't that great but was still fun. Tiberium Dawn on the other hand...

At this rate, I just want CnC to be laid to rest. EA pretty much dismantled everything I liked about the Tiberium and the Red Alert universes.

for the sake of the franchise's history, I really hope they dont make any more RTSs. It has been butchered and casualized beyond redemption, and after the abominations that are C&C 4 and Red Alert 3, it is time to give it a rest.

I would really love to see that first-person shooter they scrapped get picked up again, though...I personally enjoyed Renegade back in the day, and I think a new, darker-themed Tiberium-universe shooter would be pretty sweet.

I'm hoping for a Command and Conquer Generals 2. Generals was a great game and a second one would be fantastic, unless they ruin it like they ruined the Tiberium saga. :(

That's a big problem for them and I agree. I didn't care for 3 or 4, but I thought they did well enough with Red Alert 3.
