Dont be lazy, there are loads of 4850 reviews out at the moment! Do your own work.

Also a "please" would have been welcome.

Yes it can.

Remember, the review has shaders on very high and all others on high, if you choose shaders on high then it should pass the 30fps line.

edit: i talked without taking into consideration the cpu

At 30 average FPS? Yup. At a minimum of 30? No.

No it cannot, but that's because Crysis' requires in addition to a high end video card a cpu/mobo, some RAM, etc. Perhaps if you had those as well (and just maybe told us what they were) we'd be able to answer your question.

Or (as mentioned) you could check any number of sites that bench every new video card that comes out against Crysis.

Hmm.. I wonder too. I am now downloading the demo, and will get back at you with the results.

Ok I was just playing the demo. The lowest it ever got was 25fps but it is averaging low 30s! this is in 1680x1050 settings all high no aa.

My setup is:

XP Pro

2gb pc6400 memory

E6420 OC to 3.0GHz

250HD 7200rpm

Visiontek HD4850 at default settings.

Lol, are you serious? Of course it can. 9800GX2 Quad SLi can run Crysis at 19x12 resolution at 40-50fps (40FPS average!). It's not all about GPU man. It's about your whole setup, down to your cooling system.

I know there are many punks out there that tell you to ultilize the search function, but is it really neccessary to revive a half year old thread? Go ahead and create a new one!

What's your setup? Maybe your CPU is bottlenecking.

Use the optimization for very high on tweak guides, should get you a little higher FPS and better quality.
