Can a normal core 2 socket take core 2 extreme processors?

Can a normal core 2 socket take core 2 extreme processors? My motherboard is ESC G33T M2. Can it take a QX9775 with a better cooler of course?

should work with a core 2 extreme not sure about quad extreme though, most likely will though.
