#Would rather not spend over $150 if possible. The one I have is tiny and the keyboard and mouse barely fit on the sliding tray for them.

Something like this, unfortunately it's out of stock online and in my local store..

This is probably beyond your price range. But, custom-made desks might be something you might look at in the future.

Mine. I got it back in 2003. It disassembles into a total of 15 pieces within a few minutes. It's pretty tough (solid wood) and has been through three moves already.
That desk looks horrible jun. They is 0 mouse room.
You cannot play a game with such little mouse room, or even desktop.
Turn your sensitivity up then, you shouldn't need to move your mouse 2 feet to get it from on side of the screen to another.
My mouse moves within maybe a 5 inch circle, at most.
@chriscoolguy:
I would recommend picking a table top and legs on ikea, here is a link to the page.

I would also recommend checking locally at furniture and office stores. At my local OfficeMax they have a very sleek glass L shaped desks and plenty of others to choose from for pretty good prices.
Here is the best seller on Amazon with a pretty good rating as well.

Few people have the necessary dexterity for a proper high sensitivity play.
Of course don't let that stop you.
Having an uncramped setup is extremely important for proper play.
Anyway getting off track, a large room for anything is a much better idea than having a cramped setup like jun's. Almost none of those things need to even be on his desk, it's just less room to put things temporarily. Putting a computer on a desk makes about 0 sense.
I think I win the award for most ghetto setup. I bought the $20 one that ikea has, buy two of those if you want cheap, I'd had to use one of the piece that braces from the bottom to fill this weird void that it has at the back.
jun_aka where is the toom to move your mouse?
You mean a mouse pad? Don't need one. I have a number of optical mouse (mostly Logitech and Microsoft). They do great on that desk surface. The keyboard and mouse sets in the keyboard tray are the ones not being used at the moment. There's a total of 4 optical mouse on that photo plus a Logitech T650 touchpad.
The biggest monitor in there is a 24" TV (the other is a 19" monitor). There's still a lot of room behind it. I just have it closer because of its small size. There's plenty of room to do homework on even with all that junk.
The desk was originally designed to take dual 21" CRT monitors. With that space now available, I can fit in a 46" HDTV comfortably if I wanted to.
what's wrong with a keyboard tray? I use a trackball, and as long as the keyboard tray is a decent size wouldn't this be a good thing to have? that way I don't have to have my face so close to the monitor and my arms and hands can be a little lower?

There's nothing wrong with the keyboard tray. But, I rather use it for storing unused keyboards and mouse (for 2 PC minitowers and 1 Mac Mini). When I'm on my desk, I'm usually leaning back on my chair with my legs stretched out and my feet resting on the subwoofer. I can see well what's on the monitor even when it's almost 5 feet away (from my eyes).
Also, my computer desk has a companion desk that cannot be disassembled (unlike mine). It has a much bigger, permanent keyboard tray. That one I can use like the way you described:
In your picture you had it on the same level, the way you have it now is fine.
I get it. Ha ha! What happened was I was leaning down on my futon (behind). I wanted to get a better shot of the desk with the subwoofer.
This photo was from 2003. It's a cheap particle board desk which is fine if you have no plans to move somewhere else. I recall it being sub-$100...with assembly required, of course. But, it was good enough for my then 7-year old. You can always put the keyboard on the desk itself and use the tray for storage only. I'm a big fan of corner desks.
Here are two.

I personally have the second desk. It fits my imac and 27inch Asus monitor with room to spare. I could easily do a 3 monitor setup on my gaming rig with this desk.
You guys seem to sit pretty close to your monitor, how far away are your eyes from it like 2 ft?
I recline back on my chair with my legs stretched out and feet resting on the subwoofer. The distance of my eyes from the monitor (be it 19" or 24") is at least between 3-4 ft away.... sometimes almost 5 ft away.
I've never sat hunched over. I always sit reclining back. It's not good for the chair. But, if it breaks, buy a new one.
As of right now I've decided my next desk will be some combination of the Galant series from IKEA. Surprisingly, a lot of gaming youtubers are using this exact desk.
