yeh i agree...its starting to become a normal thing on gamespot to see a topic about these kinds of things wit graphics or destructible enviroments,u never see topics saying ''wat game has better gameplay?'' or ''which game has the best gameplay?'' etc.Anthony9000
I recommend playing Zork or Nethack. ;)

Don't treat games like you pretend to treat women. Looks matter. Technology matters. If anyone starts banging on about the soul of computer games...I will know just how old you are. And I'll tell your cute secretary.
Crysis
Half Life 2 + Fake factory Cinematic mod
TES4: Oblivion
Unreal Tournament 3
Crysis
STALKER
Quake 4
Crysis
Doom 3
and, uh, maybe Crysis?
[QUOTE="LaNoOm"]Actually not Crysis. You cant even play it on very high yet, and on most machines this game looks like crap. If you have a superuber machine then yeah go for crysis, but most of us dont.ElArab
Dude, it looks great on just MEDIUM, don't be so picky.
Yes,it looks awesome on medium, but grafx ain't everything, the nanosuit and the interactivity with the enivorment around you make this game good.Fine. It does look good on medium, but I know a lot of people getting performance issues already.
Crysis came out way before it's time. I think that Crysis will be a lot better in a few months once the patch is out.

Yeah I know what you mean, my proccessor isn't the greatest out there, but it IS a dual core, it can handle alot of stuff, but every time there's this like, certain sparkly ice effect on the screen, I get like, 4 fps. It drives me crazy lol, I hope a patch can fix it. When the sequel comes out it will probably be alot more playable, yet, PC games always have issues on release, they get fixed in a decent amount of time though. Most of the time though :\ .
Meh seems like many ppl are playing it on at least High settings and personally I think it looks great!
But yeah you should go with Crysis or The Orange Box :D
FarCry, playing it now, great game. lots of fun. People have named a lot of great games you should play, I'll give you a list of what games to stay clear of:
Jericho
Timeshift
Blacksite Area 51
And I heard Perseus Mandate is pretty crappy too.
The last couple of months have given us some great games, but there's a lot of mediocre titles too. It's a shame I wasted precious gaming hrs on some of those games... *bitter*

Timeshift has an awesome concept, but it's a one trick pony. Once you've changed time a few times, it's more fun to play it without doing it, because then it adds a challenge to the game.
As for Jericho, it's just a really pretty gore-fest.
I hope Perseus Mandate isn't crap. i'm plannig on getting it when it comes down a bit. I'm not expecting it be longer than extraction point.Head_Psychosis
I heard that Perseus Mandate is a let-down. I haven't tried it myself, but that's what I heard.
Project Origin tho is what I'm getting excited about ;)

Crysis is great but you need a great system to run it full tilt, I can tell you what NOT TO BUY that is ETQW it has many issues.
Considering I can not even connect online to ETQW because of connectivity issues with their ISP interface program, I really would not recommend this game. They have had this problem since release and after 2 patches it is still not fixed, all you need to do is go to the ETQW forum and read the connectivity thread and you will see many people are having problems even logging in to play the game. And ETQW blames your ISP or your router or what ever is the flavor of the month for an excuse of why it has not been resolved. You will be out $50 if you role the dice on this one, dont waste your time. Buy Crysis instead, it is lightyears ahead of anything else on the market today! I unfortunately could not wait for something new to play and made the $50 mistake of buying something I can not use! Of course you will not receive a refund if it does not work for you, so why take a chance?
