thats a typical sign that you overheated something, most likely the graphics card.

PCs, despite what anyone might believe, don't suffer any real form of "wear and tear". PC Gaming doesn't hurt your computer. If something is wrong, it's due to a component. And likely that component is was a lemon in the first place, because PC hardware typically lasts a long time. The first PC I've ever used, to this day, still works. Just be sure to not bog it down with unnecessary software and run programs such as CCleaner and Spybot: Search and Destroy occasionally.

Yep, I would have to put my money on an overheating video card. Check to see that you have good airflow in your case and if there's any dust accumulated on the video card or on it's fan.

Not properly cooling down your system can burn out your video card and mainboard, even if they are good quality.

Yeap, but has nothing to do with wear and tear though. If you're overclocking or you have improper cooling, that's a whole different story.

Gaming itself won't hurt the PC, most of the time it is faulty hardware or driver problems that make PCs run slowly or incorrectly. I have over 100 games installed and my PC still runs fine, so it can't be the games.
