can half life 2 ep. 1 even play on a nvidia tnt2?

not sure, but I know half life 2 can run on a 700mhz, so probably yes.

Unlikely, HL2 is a DX7.0 game at bare minimum, and the TNT2 is a DX6.0 card.

Well, if it works on HL2 it should on EP1, but don't expect miraculous frame rates.

Half Life 2 has a software renderer if i'm not mistaken so you probably won't use your video card as much as your processor.

The episodes are considered to be Hl3 according to valve.
