Wanted to get rid of the dust inside my PC but I don't have a can of compressed air or the special vacuum to do the job. Can I just wipe off the dust on my motherboard/graphics card using a cloth soaked with rubbing alcohol aka isopropanol? Can I use other alcohol like methanol or ethanol? Have never cleaned the interior of my PC so I would really appreciate any advice given.

for the PC, do not use the alcohol. Get a can of compressed air. They're not that expensive anyway.

for the LCD screen. It's ok to us the rubbing alcohol. Make sure you dilute it at leas 50% with distilled water first. Do Not put full strength rubbing alcohol on your screen.

cspiffo is right. Compressed air is the best way to go about it, just pick up a can from any computer store for a few bucks. Isopropyl is used for other purposes in working with computers.

Don't even get close to methanol.

You won't be drinking it, but it's absorbed by your lungs and skin, so don't use it just to be safe.

Isopropyl is good for cleaning off thermal compound on the CPU and heatsink. :) But yes, not for dust.
