Nope. You can't crossfire 2 different cards. they have to be the same cards in all areas. Plus, those 2 graphics cards have dual GPUs, if I'm not mistaken, I believe that the 4870, is already crossfired with it's 2 GPUs.Its_That_Guy
I thought Crossfire could be used between different cards while SLi could not. Am I wrong?:?

well i know for SLI you gotta have the same 2 cards. but iv heard that from crossfire you can use 2 different cards at once. thats what i wanna try to make sure my Crossfire board has both lanes 16x by 16xwell the 4650 is in another computer of min so no need to sell it. really it was just going to be a test (that i think im gonna do sience it seems no one really knows) And also i do have my 4870 overclocked to 850 GPU and 1000 memoryI belive the 4870 would downclock to 4650 best keep with the 4870 sell the 4650 and save for another 4870.
i would also recomend oc your 4870 using ati overdrive auto-tune.
just clocked my saphire 4870 to 840/1045

I read on the ATi website, about ATi Crossfire, that you can only cross 2 of the same graphics/video cards.
Plus, I'm not a fan of Nividia. ATi is my card.
