i want to transfer my steam stuff on another computer that has no internet hooked up to it. can i just copy and paste my whole steam folder onto a flash drive and then put it on my other comp and have it work? or what would i have to do?

i think you can. but if you just isntall steam on another computer, it should remember all of your games that you own on it, so once you log in, it will say "purchased games" or something like that, and you can just isntall them. if you copy and paste your steam folder, which is probably 5-10 gigs, bigger than mosts common usb flash drives, itll work, but you will have to updates all of the games again

5GB-10GB is bigger than any flash drive out there... maybe an External pocket HDD would work. My Steam folder/file once got up to 25GB... >.>

A bunch of DVD-RW's or a couple DVD-R DL's would do the trick nicely. Assuming you have a DVD burner, that is.

But yes, just copying the Steam folder over should work. You may have to tell Steam to "install" the games, but it'll quickly see that all the files are there.

5GB-10GB is bigger than any flash drive out there... maybe an External pocket HDD would work. My Steam folder/file once got up to 25GB... >.>

 

they have 16gig flash drives, theyre not too expensive either. my 2g was 20 bucksÂ
